Rumored to Have Been Approached by Kanye West and Rick Rubin Regarding Record Deal Negotiations; Montana of 300 Drops a Video for the Single Nothing New
The Chicago rapper comes to us today with a new visual for the Talley of 300 assisted Nothing New. The setting of run down Chicago city shows Montana and the 300 Crew roam through streets and alleys. Grey skies fill the picture over the gloomy city, as the gang show shots of a savage-mentality in the inner city. There seems to be an abundance of violent behavior in the Chicago Hip-Hop community. With the rise of most noted Chief Keef, Young Chop, Lil Durk and their controversial alleged involvement in murder cases a few years back, the desperate street driven music is making it’s way into the light of mainstream music.
The visual and auditorial make up from Montana of 300 fit the great scenes of legendary pro-antagonist films like Scarface. I am a huge fan of the visual depiction of gangster movies and their story lines, as is what makes me a fan of Drill Music. It’s undeniably a reality that we hear the Chicago style incorporated more and more in all styles of music from Pop to Hip Hop today. Check out the video straight from Chicago with Montana of 300 “Nothing New.
